Work Day 6:

To catch up from last week- I continued working on the bamboo planter. A man named Doug Eubanks offered to let us use bamboo from his land. I finished the planter, but it needs some structural improvements.

Friday we had an unscheduled meeting to discuss a possible grant opportunity with NCAT. It was good to clarify goals. I realized I had many projects in mind and decided to focus on the creation of one particular job, and everything else will be put on the back burner and maybe implemented at a later time.

There is so much this project can do! I think any one project that we complete is a benefit to the community and one step closer to our vision.

Today we had a Monday meeting; many projects were discussed. Everyone is doing a lot and that is great to see.

The prototype herb bed was planted, and we picked up some mulch from Teresa Cox. She will bring some plants Saturday, when we plan to plant the beds at the library. It looks ok, I think as the plants fill in it will look better.

Joel tilled the OMNI garden. Good job. All we need now is some compost and we can begin planting that!

Tomorrow I plan to harvest some bamboo from Serena's land after the meeting with NCAT.
